Project description
The IOC’s regional public health action is expanding with the support of the European Union for the SEGA – One Health Network.
The EU funding has been delegated to AFD, which signed a grant agreement with IOC in December 2020.
Objective
Improve IOC Member States’ prevention and response capabilities in the face of pandemic and epidemic risks.
Specific objectives
This funding from the European Union will make it possible to :
- Complement the health monitoring and response activities already implemented as part of the RSIE3 project financed by France through AFD;
- Strengthening national laboratory systems ;
- Promote regional cooperation through the IOC’s SEGA-One Health Network.
This new public health project, RSIE 4, will help maintain health safety and mitigate the impact of epidemics and pandemics.
