BORDER SURVEILLANCE
Border surveillance is necessary for a better response to epidemic situations.
It has been integrated into the SEGA – One Health Network in the 3rd phase of the project.
The aim is to strengthen surveillance at entry points for both public and animal health.
The aim is to improve prevention, early detection and rapid response.
The aim? Reduce the incidence of diseases with epidemic potential.

- Strengthening border surveillance systems in different countries
- Construction of an isolation center (Madagascar)
- Systematic risk analysis through health monitoring
- Informing the various players about what to do according to the health risks involved
- Strengthening cross-sector collaboration, including immigration services, customs, civil aviation, the biosafety agency (including veterinary services), airlines, etc.
- Strengthening the surveillance system for travelers from countries with endemic or ongoing epidemics of priority diseases.
